This rare and interesting BSA J34-11 is an older restoration in good condition, it runs and rides very well, the engine has much power - fitted with a four speed foot change gearbox and an Amal carburettor.
The 500cc OHV V-Twin model appeared in 1934 for the first time in BSA's catalogue, the factory introduced this model with entirely open valves, a modern gearbox to be operated with foot and with a very attractive exhaust system. The J34-11 or 4.98 h.p. O.H.V. Vee Twin was a remarkable looking design - way ahead of its time.
Equipments include Lucas electric lighting system and horn, toolbox, battery carrier and side stand. There is an instrument panel mounted on the top of the petrol tank as well, including light switch, oil pressure gauge and ammeter.
There are not many of the 500cc overhead valve V-Twin BSA left, being considered as a highly collectible vintage motorcycle.
