This is a 1918, 1000 cc V-twin, American Indian motorcycle, fitted with a very elegant French sidecar. Indians were already famous in the early ’10-s, because of the high quality, very reliable and also very fast motorcycles, wich came out from the Hendee factory, Springfield Massachusetts.
This vintage Powerplus is a beautifully designed motorcycle, comes with a nice patina, stand in a collection for many years.
It is well-equipped with an early Schebler carburettor, a Dixie H magneto, carbide lighting system (through the whole combination), a beautiful sprung seat and with a manual Stewart horn. This Indian is in a running condition and has an effective suspension.
It’s hard to find such a lovely Indian combination, like this 1918 Powerplus, this bike could be an outstanding piece for many collection.
