This hard to find veteran 1914 New Hudson is a detailed older restoration in a very nice condition.
It is fitted with an own produced 500 cc side valve engine by New Hudson, Druid pattern front forks and an interesting belt driven 3 speed Armstrong hub gear, housed in the rear wheel. The machine can be started with a hand crank starter near the rear hub.
Other characteristics of this beautiful New Hudson are its brown enamelled fuel tank, nickel plated wheel rims, large aluminium foot boards and attractive valanced mudguards.
Lubrication of the engine is provided by a Best & Lloyd oil drip-feed system, braking is concluded through a cycle type brake on the front wheel and a belt rim brake at the rear. Further fittings include touring handlebars, Brooks pan type saddle and leather toolboxes.
Increasing the speciality of this early motorcycle, the New Hudson still retains its old British logbook and possesses a Pioneer Certificate as well, issued by the SMCC Pioneer Register.
