In 1930, Norton introduced its first model, fitted with a two-port 490cc overhead valve engine, called the Model 20. It was a more expensive twin-port variant of the already existing Model 18.
This rare first production year Norton Model 20 is a patinated older restoration, with much character.
It is fitted with the iconic long petrol tank (very characteristic for that period of Norton), three speed hand change Sturmey Archer gearbox, Webb front fork, 8 inch front and rear (Enfield rear hub) internal expanding brakes.
Further equipments include Lucas electric lighting set (with original Lucas H52 headlamp) and horn, cast aluminium magdyno shield, toolboxes and side stand.
The Norton runs and rides fine, has been used on several vintage rallies by its previous owner.
