This flattank Rudge "Four" is in a nice authentic old condition. It is a highly original vintage motorcycle, fitted with a 500cc engine, having a four valve cylinder head and a four speed gearbox (which were typical characteristics for Rudge-Whitworth motorcycles after creating their first four valve engine in 1924).
This early sports-tourer is equipped with Amac carburettor, ML headlamp, Best-Lloyd external oil pump, pan type seat, toolbox, beaded edge rims and coupled brakes.
Steering damper can be operated by a wing nut through the steering head.
The exhaust system, having a horizontal steel expansion chamber was specific for the model "Standard".
This Rudge Standard is in a running order, has correct engine and frame numbers for the year 1927.
